This project involved a review of the design and analysis of the existing support structures for photovoltaic panels for energy production in two buildings, Lisbon and Coimbra, belonging to a company in the energy sector. It began with an analysis of the existing project, site visits and various structural checks, particularly of the most complex or high-risk points, in order to examine the safety conditions of the structures. Also in this first phase, the resistance capacities of the installed structures were analyzed, particularly to winds considered strong and exceptional. The next phase was characterized by the study of risk mitigation measures where the existing structure was taken into account, the reinforcement project was drawn up and the work was monitored in order to guarantee the structures’ resistance capacity.
